In 1997, Peter and Mary Kissila, the directors of a small daycare center in Arusha, had a dream. For years, local parents had encouraged the couple to expand the center into a full-fledged primary school. They started in 1998 by offering private education for Standard One students and called their school Kilimani Junior Academy. By 2004, Kilimani, an English-Medium private school, had expanded to have all seven standards of primary school. FoTZC has constructed five classrooms at Kilimani and donated computers.
