What We Do: FOTZC Mission

Our goal is to collaborate with Tanzanian communities to overcome economic and social challenges. We do this through a working partnership that directs resources toward sustainable projects in the areas of Education, Health, Water and Women's Empowerment.

Every two years, the FOTZC board of directors travels to our partner communities in Tanzania (at board members’ own expense) to meet with village leaders, Maasai elders, government officials, local educators, and families in order to better understand their needs. Each community identifies its most pressing needs and priorities.

The FOTZC directors review the proposals to make sure the projects are feasible and sustainable and then select those they feel are most pressing. We oversee the projects while they are underway, ensuring that every dollar you donate goes as far as possible toward completing the project.
