Ekenywa Junior Academy Primary School
Ekenywa was the personal project of Gebra Tilya, a former Thomson Safaris guide and his wife, Flora. They began an informal kindergarten to teach several of the local Maasai children. As enrollment grew, Gebra and Flora took several of the children into their home to live with them. FoTZC began assisting Ekenywa in 2002, providing construction funds for classrooms. California High School in San Ramon, California has been particularly generous, contributing over $10,000 to FoTZC, which was earmarked for construction projects at Ekenywa.
