Ayalabe Classrooms are Complete

We are pleased to announce that the two new classrooms at Ayalabe Primary School are complete, and the desks for the classrooms have been delivered to the school! This success is the result of the combined efforts of the headmaster of Ayalabe Primary School, the community of Karatu, the FoTZC board and staff, and Jane Moore. Jane deserves special thanks, as she tirelessly raised the funds for this project. Jane is heading to Tanzania soon to take part in a dedication ceremony for these classrooms. Safari njema, Jane!

Check back soon for updates on two of our other projects, a 2-in-1 teachers’ house at Nainokanoka Primary School, and a Beading Seminar for the Enyuata Women’s Collaborative!

Ayalabe Construction Update

The classrooms at Ayalabe are nearly complete! The construction crew is finishing the floors right now, and they will paint the classrooms and install the blackboards over the next few weeks. The Ayalabe headmaster is excited to begin using the new classrooms (pictured below) in early September.

Please donate now to support our upcoming projects, including a girls’ dormitory and a health clinic! For more information on how to donate to specific projects, please email info@fotzc.org.

These are some images of the two new classrooms at Ayalabe, scheduled to be finished at the end of July.
